Equipment
Our club is pleased to offer 3 styles of fencing, Epee, Foil and Saber.
We have a limited supply of equipment for members to use on a weekly basis. All club equipment must be returned to the store room after each use. Please do not take club equipment home with you.
Body wire/Head wire
There is a limited amount of body/head wires available for use for inhouse club training. Intermediate and advanced members must provide their own body/head wire.
Masks, Jackets and Blades.
These items are used by members and returned every week to our storage. Availability of sizes is first come, first served.
Gloves
For health and safety reasons every fencer is required to purchase a fencing glove. Gloves are available online from the vendors listed in the next section. The club conducts bulk orders a few times a year, you can request a glove be added to the order to save on shipping. Please send us an email with your size and we can let you now when the next order is going out.
Competition Equipment
It is the responsibility of each individual fencer to ensure they have the proper gear for competitions. Generally you should have a spare weapon and body wire. There may be an opportunity to borrow equipment, on a first come first served basis, to use at a competition. If equipment is lent out to you it must be returned to the club the following Tuesday after the competition.
Equipment Purchase
All members are encouraged to purchase their own personal fencing gear. From time to time the club will put together a bulk order. Sizing can be difficult to determine and there are lots of poorly made products out on the internet. Please speak to a coach if you have any questions about equipment before you order.
